We’ve built a global network of family farms and growers across the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Europe, South America, Central America, and locally throughout the Midwest that is capable of delivering produce that meets our customers’ expectations. How to become a partner grower
From Local Orchard to National Network
Joe Comito’s love for produce began when his father, Joe Comito Sr., started a fruit stand in Des Moines in 1949 and soon after acquired an orchard. Now owned and operated by three of the Comito brothers, Kieran, Brendan, and Christian, Capital City Fruit now has farms around the world and still works closely with customers to provide high-quality, delicious produce to their end-users.
